Noah's Ark

We spent the day Saturday making a hutch for our new bunny rabbit. Then, we went to Noah's Ark with the Rose family and fed animals. Wynton and Cameron are so cute and excited about everything. We went over to their house for dinner and had a good time letting the boys play together and catching up. We ended up leaving later than we expected. It was already Cam's bedtime and we still had to pick up the bunny. By the time we got home it was almost 9 and Zach still had to make the door to the hutch. The bunny was so cute when she got in, sniffing around at her new home. We need to redo the roof though, so that is Zach's project today. Cameron is so excited about her and just loves petting her. He says she is "so cute." It's funny! I'll try to get some pics today and post.

Easter

We had a really nice Easter. We didn't go anywhere, just spent the day together. We hid eggs in the backyard for Cameron. We had so many because I brought home the extra from work. I thought he'd get sick of hunting and we'd have to find them, but he was loving every minute of it asking where more eggs where. He wanted to play with his eggs all day and was expecting to find more stuff in them each time he opened them up. It was pretty fun! Trevor slept through the hunt, but woke up after Cam opened his eggs. So, we let Trevor hold them. He put them in his mouth (of course).

Both boys are healthy again, which I am so thankful for! Spring is hard and especially with this weather changing back and forth so much! Trevor is spitting up way more than he had been. We called about his medicine and he's getting the max dose. He had spit up so much that papa had to take a shower and rinse off today and Trevor went through a couple outfits. I wish we could do something. It's hard when we take him somewhere or are trying to get out the door and he makes a mess all over!

Erin and Geof are in Europe for 6 weeks. They have a travel blog if anyone does not have it that reads this....
There is lots of good pictures of the places they have been. We're so jealous, it looks like so much fun!

Trevor Rolls Over

Trevor started rolling over from his back to his tummy yesterday. Most of the time, he won't stay on his back longer than 5 seconds before he's on his belly. Then, he looks like he's flying because he puts his arms behind him and lifts his legs up. He's gotten himself confused about how to get from his belly to back now (which he has been doing for a month or so). Anyway, he's quick...no more leaving him on the couch while we grab a diaper or whatever! We went to the cabin today to finish mulching the front of the house and Zach mowed the property. Cameron loves it there! Tomorrow we are going to do an Easter egg hunt for Cameron in the back yard. We still have to make the eggs. I think he will have fun with that though, we'll have to video if we can.

Spring Break

Spring break is over. :( I didn't really have lots of time for the blog like I thought I might. The kids kept me pretty busy. The weather was rainy, but warm most days, so we were able to go on walks and play in the yard. Both boys ended up getting ear infections, Trevor is finishing up his antibiotics the next couple days. Trevor found his feet a couple weeks ago and has a field day eating his right foot. He will sometimes have all 5 toes in his mouth. Funny! Cameron surprises us each day with the things he says. He talks in complete sentences sometimes and it's amazing how much her remembers that we say. He understands so much more and can talk with you so much more. It just amazes me daily! We spend the last weekend landscaping. We went to the cabin and put in some bushes for my parents and then took weeds out of our flower beds and put mulch down. It took all day Sunday for our house and we're still not done. We hope to finish this coming weekend and then things will look nice. I love once all the flowers come out. I'm hoping my Iris' bloom okay this year with the freeze we've been having this week. Well, that's all for now. We're still not getting any sleep with Trevor, he's getting up a ton lately. Hopefully that will get better soon!

Posts Deleted

In an attempt to clear out some of the older posts on this blog, the most recent posts were also deleted. So, about 3 months of posts have been deleted. I decided to put a couple pics from recently, but I will just update once a week as usual. I am on spring break this week, so maybe I will have more time to update than usual and may be able to catch the kids doing some cute things! Too bad the weather is supposed to be rainy all week, that means no outside time. Too bad!! Grandpa Hoeptner is here for a couple days....Cameron likes spending time with him. As soon as he saw him he gave him a hug and wanted to play with him, even though he hasn't seen him since Christmas. He seems to remember everyone better now that he's getting older. Cameron has a runny nose and a little cough, I'm hoping it goes away. He woke up crying several times last night, just screaming and we didn't know why. Hopefully he doesn't get sick. Today at 2 is the Louisville game. Can't wait. Go Cards!!

We had two big first's for the boys this weekend. Trevor's chord fell off, so we were finally able to give him his

first bath. He did calm down eventually and there were many cute pictures, but I just loved this pic of him. He looks like a little frog. He's also getting much stronger. He can hold his head up for a much longer time now. He is eating well and doing pretty well at night. He gets up every 3 hours, so he's up twice at night. He is still throwing up some though, so we may have to get him on the reflex meds. Turns out both the boys inherited my bad reflux! Too bad!!

Cameron went pee pee in the potty for the very first time yesterday!! We were so proud of him. I know this is going to be a long road, but at least he's done it once now.

Amnio

Sorry I didn't post anything about the amnio yesterday. I stayed on the couch after I got back from the appointment and then tried to scan the pics of the baby, but it wouldn't work. I didn't want to post without a pic. Then, I went to bed pretty early since I hadn't had much sleep the couple nights before. Anyway...the procedure went well. We spent about 35 minutes doing an ultrasound, watching our baby BOY move around. (Yes...another boy. I told Zach, the next dog is going to be a girl, I'm a bit outnumbered in this house! But, Cameron will be glad to have a brother and it definitely makes life easy for us with clothes and hand-me-downs.) We also got to see 4D pics of him. It was pretty neat. Then, the doc came in and did the amnio. He couldn't get anything with the first stick, so he had to do it again. That part was not very comfortable, I felt like he was jabbing so far, but I knew he wasn't. He got tons of fluid, but only about half of what the lab wanted. Apparently they want a ridiculous amount to test for CF and he didn't think it was a safe amount. So, he did what he thought was safe and thinks it will be fine. We checked the baby afterwards and his heart rate was unaffected and he seemed to be fine. I'm still a little sore there this morning, but I think we'll both be fine. I let Cameron go to the sitters today so I could take it easy another day, get the house cleaned a bit, not lift anything too heavy. Now, it's a waiting game! The results will come in about two weeks. They will be checking CF specifically, but the results will also reflect any kind of chromosome issues (like Downs, etc.). I just hope they will have the cells they need for the test, I do worry about that part a little. Once we get results, I'll be sure to post them. We will probably get them when we are in San Diego on vacation. Thanks to all of you that were thinking of us yesterday and concerned.

Hope you like the pics of the new little guy. I didn't post the one of his "boy parts" because that's about all you see in the pic. I didn't think it was necessary, but trust me, he's definitely a boy!

The one makes him look like a little alien, but the 4D is so different, I thought I'd post it.

Cam's Appt.

Cam and I spent the day at home. We played outside and he went swimming in his baby pool. We played games inside and did puzzles. Cameron has also picked up a few new words. He loves balls and can finally say 'ball.' He also learned how to say bike and baby. They all sound pretty much like the word itself except ball kind of sounds like bow, but it's close and we can tell what he's saying.

Cam's CF clinic visit went well today. It was a bit long and he got tired of being there, even threw a fit because I wouldn't leave, but we got a good report. He's gained a half a pound in the last three months, which is good. He's in the 20th percentile for weight and his weight/height combo is between the 25th and 50th percentile, so we are very pleased with that. He is able to stop his Reglan, so I will decrease the dose and have it eliminated in the next week. Also, once we complete the pulmacort we have here in the house, he can go to a different one and only do a breathing treatment once a day. He'll still need CPT twice, but anything we can combine or minimize helps!! There were some other meds we talked about, but it's probably nothing most of you will know about, so I'll wait to explain when he actually starts, we just discussed some things we'll be doing in the next year with Cam. Overall, good report. We don't have to go back for 3 months unless he gets sick. Tomorrow is the amnio. Wish us luck that the procedure will go smoothly with no complications. Hopefully we'll find out the sex of the baby. I'm nervous. I can't wait until tomorrow afternoon when this is over with! I'm sure we'll update more either tomorrow or the following day.

Daddy's Birthday Weekend

Saturday was daddy's birthday. We went to stay with his family in Fort Thomas, KY for the weekend. Cameron got to spend a lot of time with his grandparents and his cousin Sam all day Saturday. Sunday he also spent time with them because they all came to watch Zach's bike race (which he got 2nd overall and 1st in his age group, go Zach!!). Cameron was able to swim in a kid pool on Saturday and we even walked the boys up to the fire station on the corner. They were able to sit in the drivers seat of the fire engine and pretend to drive and were each given a hat. We enjoyed the weekend and it seemed to fly by. Zach and I went out to eat Saturday night for his birthday (his parents were so nice to treat us). It was maybe the best meal I have ever had. I was able to see a couple of my friends there on Friday night and Saturday morning. I am very tired from the weekend. Cameron slept the whole way home and still seems tired, so I'm sure we will all get some much needed rest this weekend.

School's Out

I had my last day of work Wednesday. Yesterday, Cameron and I went to the zoo in the morning. Cam did really good until he got tired. He wanted to walk around some and did a pretty good job staying right next to me. He was so cute running around. I took him on the carousel for the first time. He didn't like it. He wouldn't sit on an animal, so we sat on the bench, but he kept saying off. Then we came back, went on a wagon ride, and played inside the rest of the afternoon. It was so hot and we were both tired after the zoo. Cameron has a clinic appointment Tuesday. I'm hoping for a good report and good weight gain. Then, my amnio is the next day. Today we leave for Northern Kentucky to spend the weekend with Zach's family. We will probably hang out by the pool tomorrow and then Zach and I will go out to eat for his birthday. Zach has a bike race up there on Sunday, so we'll do that and then come home late that afternoon. I've been trying to pack all morning and I know I will forget something. Last time I forgot one of Cam's meds and since we will be there a few days this time, I just can't forget something like that. We're taking the small Civic to try to save on gas and because it has the bike rack on it, but it's going to be a tight squeeze in there. I'm wondering how Cam will do on the drive. We usually drive during his nap, but Zach has to work, so we are leaving right after he's had a nap. I'm sure he will be tired to sitting, I just hope he doesn't scream a lot, my head can't take that. I will update Sunday night and probably have cute pictures from the weekend. I posted a pic of Cam on the couch. His Aunt and Uncle got him this DVD of this lady he loves and he watches it 3-4 times a day. He loves it! He's also been obsessed with wearing his daddy's hat.

Hot Weekend!!

It has been a very hot weekend (actually a hot week) here in Louisville. We have spent a lot of time outside. We have the baby pool for Cam in the backyard which he finally likes again and we've been going to the neighborhood pool. Zach had a bike race today at Fort Duffield.

Cam and I weren't going to go because of all the bugs there and the heat, but we decided to surprise him (I've never missed a bike race).Cam did so much better at this race, but he got a nap on the way there and we weren't there that long because Zach's race had started by the time we got there. We hiked up and down the big hill there so we could see Zach at a couple places. Then, we sat at the finish line and cheered people on. We had fun and Zach was surprised and happy to see us, it was good motivation for his last lap. I have felt better for the most part this weekend. The last 4 days of work were horrible. I was so sick each morning I could hardly make it to work. One day I had such a big headache, I couldn't do much. I was feeling so much better, so I'm not sure why I feel bad all of a sudden. Probably just exhaustion. I'm ready for summer break!! Only 3 more days to go!!

Big Gift

Zach and I got Cameron a new climbing thing for outside. He is just so active and always wants to be outside, we knew we had to get him something more to do in our backyard. So, today, the climber arrived. Zach and I put it together after we put Cam to bed. We got it done pretty fast and were so excited to show it to him that we went to see if he was still awake (which he was) and brought him down to show him. He was so excited. His mouth literally dropped. We got so many cute pictures it's hard for me to pick what to put on here. He was just so happy. He likes to put the stools down the slide. He threw a fit when it was time to come in, of course, but we could only keep him up so late (hour past his bedtime). I'm also posting some pics from when we went to the pool Sunday with grandpa. Cameron was finally able to stand in the little kids pool without being in our laps. He never did like being in the float and was always eager to get the toys out of the water and then try to get out himself. I think it will take a lot of pool trips to get him used to it again. I'm feeling okay, but VERY tired. Things have been busy at work and here and I just feel tired every second. I'm starting to feel the baby fluttering and have had a couple big movements, but when I go to feel, the baby doesn't move anymore. We have the amnio June 18th. Not very far away. I'm so nervous. I can't wait for it to be over and to know that the procedure didn't cause any problems with the pregnancy and to hopefully get good news about the baby's health. We should find out the gender that day too.

Well, hope you enjoy the pictures....

Grandpa's Here

Grandpa Hoeptner has a business trip to Ohio Monday, so he decided to come early and stop here for the weekend. He and I were at the new cabin for the morning yesterday and then spent the afternoon with Cameron in the backyard. Cameron has this fear of swimming this year. He loves baths still, but just hates getting in the pool. Last year he loved it. We even put him in a float and he still just kept saying "off." We were eventually able to ease him in by sitting on daddy's lap and then daddy slowly getting out of the baby pool. But, once Cam figured it out, he was out of there too. Strange! So, he spent most of the time just playing with cups and moving water from one bucket to another. We have these huge buckets he is using, I need to get him a little pail or something that is more his size. Cam never took an afternoon nap because he fell asleep in the morning downstairs, which is VERY abnormal. He's pretty cute sleeping though! My ankle is killing me and all swollen again. I guess it's from being on it too much Friday at our school field day. I can hardly walk around at all this weekend it hurts so much. Plus, I've been feeling very sick. I thought this was going away, but I think I've just been extra busy and maybe doing too much. I went to bed early last night and slept like 11 hours, but still don't feel great today. So, I think today, we are going to head to the pool and just let Cam play outside again. That's all he wants to do, he just says "outside" constantly, even first thing in the morning. Hope you all have a good weekend!

Memorial Weekend

We have had a great weekend so far. Saturday we went Frisbee golfing for a bit and played outside. Today Zach had a bike race in Frankfort. So, we watched him. Cameron and I ran around while he biked. Cam's little friend Bodie was there, so they got to play together a little bit. Cam liked running around the baseball area and going in and out of the dugout. He got a little wheezy there today, but it's seemed to clear up. He actually ate a sandwich this afternoon, which is amazing. He's so picky. There is nothing easy to take when we're out, but today he ate it just like a sandwich, it made me so happy!! After his LONG nap, we went to the pool. He doesn't have a float right now, but he can stand in the little baby pool. He tried to run and fell down face first and scared himself (and us too). We were right there, but it's so scary. He was nervous after that. He liked sitting on the side of the pool with us, throwing his toys in, and then going in to get them out and getting back up on the side again. After the pool, we went to "The Barrel of Fun" and had some soft serve, which he loved!! Who knows what we have in store for tomorrow. I wanted to sign Cam and I up for a swim class this summer, but I still have two and a half weeks of school left and they all start now, so I'd have to do Saturdays and we are going to miss half of them with things that are already planned. So, we may have to wait until next year to do it.

Baby 2 @ 13 and a half weeks

Doc Appts

Well, we just ended up talking with Cameron's doc on the phone and they want to put him on Omnicef before we go to the Levaquin. So, we're going to try that starting tonight. He was in such a horrible mood today. I'm hoping it gets better as the steroids get out of his system. We had my ultrasound today and it went well. The baby was moving all around. It was so cute. We saw both legs and feet, both hands and arms. I will try to get Zach to scan a pic to put on here. They said my new due date is around November 20th. I am now a little over 13 weeks. The amnio is June 18th. Gotta go, Cam's screaming....

"Cookie"

This weekend flew by! I had no time to get more pics up from the walk, so I added a few more today. I also put a short video of Cameron. He's starting to try to say new words and repeat the things we say. We taught him to say, "that" and "more," but today I asked him to say cookie (it was the iced animal cookies) and he did. Now, it doesn't sound exactly like 'cookie' but it's pretty cute and he was pretty proud of himself. We all thought it was close enough. By the time I got the video, he was getting sick of them (that's always how it goes, I'm always getting too late by the time I break out the camera). Cameron's doing okay. He still has his cough and he's in a bad mood often the last two days, which I believe is the steroid. He had his last day today and there is no change as far as the cough. He's congested at certain parts during the day, but not always. So, Dr. Eid wanted to try something new if he wasn't 100% or much better, so we'll see what he wants to do tomorrow. I have a doc appt at the OB tomorrow. We have another ultrasound. I'm about 12 weeks now. I'm a little nervous because we always had some kind of bad news for each and every ultrasound during my pregnancy with Cameron, so I hope things go okay. I'm sure they will, I'm just nervous and anxious. I can't wait to see the little one!!
