Cameron has had a lot of fun with my family in town. He always has someone giving him constant attention. He's still not walking around on his own, but he'll take steps to us. Here's a little clip of him walking to his daddy.

First Steps
Cameron is finally starting to take some first steps. He was playing with a toy and frustrated that he needed another hand to use his walker to walk. So, I took it away and asked him to come towards me and he took about 4 steps. We practiced for quite a while and he once did 12 small steps. He takes really small steps, it's so cute. He was so excited and so was I. By the time I got the video out, he only did 4 steps. I tried to get a picture too, but it's hard to take a picture of walking. I just got all the cabinets in the kitchen baby proofed because he's been getting into them. He's on his way!!

Getting Around
Cameron is not walking yet, but he is sure getting around. One minute he was playing fine, the next he had crawled behind our book shelf and was walking around.
Today Cameron had to come home early and go to the doctor. He now has a viral and bacterial infection, so he's on another round of antibiotics. It seems like he will never be healthy. He needs his second flu shot, but he hasn't been well enough to get it. So, that will have to be put off until after the holidays and we have to hope he doesn't come in contact with the flu. I just keep hoping we will all be healthy for Christmas!

Little Candy Cane
Cameron has this Christmas outfit that Zach says he looks like a little candy cane in. He's so cute though. Look at that big grin. What a cheese ball! Cameron still has no words that anyone can really understand, but he sure babbles a ton! We think he can say, "I did it." We say that to him a lot and now it seems like that is exactly what he says when he does things. He does say mama and dada, but we're not sure that he actually associates either of us with the names.
Well, we had planned on a lazy Sunday. I woke up with hardly any voice and a lot of congestion. It's like I caught what Cameron had and something from school. We needed to do a bunch of cleaning, so I cleaned downstairs and Zach did upstairs to try to get rid of some of the dust and germs around this house.

Dancing
Cameron dances all the time. He started dancing just to the music on the Thomas Train, now he dances to any music he hears, even at the grocery store. Pretty Cute!!
Standing More
Cameron is standing a whole lot more now. He is still not walking though. He will stand all by himself and play with a toy, squat down to the floor to get something and stand back up. He's getting stronger...just no walking yet. He tries to take a step to us from the couch and other pieces of furniture, but after one step, he bends down to crawl.
His health is better. He still has a cold, a constant running nose. He's been sick with something for a month now. Hopefully he will be completely healthy for Christmas!
Will try to update more pictures and information more often. Zach and I are both sick again and it's been hard to catch any cute pictures with us all sick all the time.

Happy Thanksgiving!!
Here's a pic of Cameron clapping with his daddy.
We hope everyone has a very happy Thanksgiving. I've been slacking on updating the blog lately. The three of us are all sick, so we stayed home for Thanksgiving to get some rest and get better. We made a small meal, can't go without turkey today! Cameron's been sick for quite a while now, one thing after another. First it was his reaction to his shots. Then, he got a cold. Then he got a throat and ear infection with a fever. After two days of antibiotics, he had a reaction and broke out in a complete body rash, which is still all over him. So, now he's on something new. He would not lift his head up for 3 days straight. Now, he will play again, but he's pretty fussy most of the day. To top it all off, he had 2 back teeth pop through and had a couple more on their way. Poor thing!
More pictures soon....
Happy Thanksgiving!!

It's My Birthday . . .

. . . and I can cry if I want to!!!
We were so excited for Cameron's first birthday party. I think he would have had a lot of fun. Unfortunately, he did not feel good. He had a pretty high fever from his immunizations and didn't want to do much of anything except sleep all day. Friends and family came to celebrate his big birthday and it was great to see everyone. Next year, no immunizations before the party!
This morning he got up feeling better, so he opened his gifts then and enjoyed playing with all of them. He felt okay all morning, but spiked another fever this afternoon and into the evening. We're hoping it's gone by morning.
