Nana and Trev at VBS
Trevor climbed in the cooler, there is nothing he won't try to get in if he can!!

Going down the slide into the pool, over and over, he loved it!
Cam jumping off the diving board. He didn't need any pushing to do it. He tried to get in the steps, but they were so far down he said he just wanted to jump and asked if he could go off the board. There was no stopping him after that!
The summer is flying by! I haven't got everything on my summer "to-do" list complete! This last week the kids had vacation bible school each evening. Actually, Trevor was too young this year, we did one night and he didn't go back. Cameron loved it. The last day they did a little performance and when we had to leave, Cameron cried the whole way home and was hysterical for a hour in bed because he wanted to go back to bible school and he knew it was over. Might have been the result of coming down from a sugar high, who knows. This weekend we went to stay at Zach's parents house. They were out of town, but were nice enough to let us stay and invite some friends over for a pool party. All of our friends were very appreciative to have a pool to hang out by on such an extremely hot day! This entire summer has just been WAY too hot! It is much easier to be outside when there is a pool. I usually like to be in a lawn chair for most of the time, but our two boys never got out of the water. Ever since the boat day on the lake, Trevor loves big open water. He tries going in the pool before he has a float, whether we're in there or not, no fear!! I was terrified he'd drown. So, Zach and I were in the water mostly the entire day. The boys swam for a little over 5 hours straight and only went in because it was past bedtime and they were forced because it was getting dark! Very fun! It was really nice to see all of our friends as well and their babies.
Tonight Zach sang at open mic night at our church. He did great! He's getting more and more into playing his guitar at church and singing.
Tomorrow Trevor and I are going to go visit Papa at the hospital. It's his third week and I know he will enjoy to see Trevor for a little bit. He'd like to see Cam too, but I don't want to risk Cameron picking up something there, so Nana will watch him while I take Trevor for the visit. Then Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday I have work all day, professional development days! I'm supposed to be able to get into my room the following Monday. I am nervous about getting set up, I will have 4 days (if it doesn't get delayed due to construction). I don't know what supplies are in my room, how I'm going to organize, how much I need to bring from home from the stuff I had in my other room. It's not the same when you move grades and schools. I'm nervous about it. I need to practice with my new active board too so I don't look like a fool when the kids are there. So, the week after that, school starts!!! Basically, summer is over!!!! Man, seems like there isn't much of a summer these days for teachers with all the stuff that we have to do once the kids are out and then the prep that has to be done weeks before they come!
Oh, we got Skype set up and tried it with my dad tonight. Pretty neat. The kids are going to love being able to see someone while they talk to them!!

The kids are just too cute sometimes, dancing together in the car. They were running around hiding from each other this morning for about 15 minutes. It was pretty cute!

Trevor's been a bit fussy lately, he has a tooth coming in and he's getting over a virus. Cameron has been his usual busy self. It's been so hot, we've had to stay inside.

Here's a video of Trevor lifting just like his daddy does, blowing out air when the weight gets over his head and everything. He thinks he's so strong. Too cute!

Clinic Visit

We went in for Cameron's regular check-up at the CF clinic. He only gained a quarter of a pound, but he grew a half inch. He's staying steady on the growth chart. We are going to try to decrease his Miralax and see how that goes. He was able to try blowing into a mask that is attached to a computer. This helps to give lung function numbers to the docs. Cameron had to try to blow out the 16 candles on the computer. He thought it was fun! He did really great the first couple times and then started humming rather than blowing and blew lower numbers. We'll try again next time. Everything else looked good though, we just need to put some more weight on this kid! We are also going to start Probiotics with him daily. I think I'm going to join him in that, can't hurt!

Things have been busy here! We just completed a week long visit from my sister, Erin. My dad was also here for about 3 days over the 4th of July. We kept ourselves busy each day it seemed like! Last weekend we went to Churchill Downs for Downs After Dark. We were in Millionaires row and it was a really nice evening! We didn't win much, but didn't lose much! Unfortunately, as we were leaving, a drunk driver was playing bumper cars and hit US!!! We are still trying to work out if he has insurance or not, but everyone was okay and it could have been worse!
Then we hung out at the house for fireworks. My friend Melinda came down to visit with us and my whole family was here. We had plenty of huge fireworks going off in the neighborhood and we did some of the smaller ones ourselves. The kids played in the pool and the backyard most of the day. It was really fun! My sister and I took the kids to the zoo one day and to Huber's Farm another day. On my sister's birthday my parents rented a boat out on Taylorsville Lake. That was a really fun day. The kids did great and LOVED the water!!!! They are like fish, we couldn't get them out! Cameron just loves jumping in the water now that he's more comfortable in the water. We should have brought a float for Trevor. He wanted to be on his own, but of course he couldn't swim, so someone had to be holding him the whole time. It gets tiring treading water for so long!! If we didn't watch him carefully, he'd be heading down the ladder without us, he was ready to go!! My sister left a couple days ago and the kids were very sad. Trevor is still walking around saying her name wondering where she is. Erin....MOVE CLOSER!!
A very sad event also happened this week. One of the mothers in my support group for CF lost her daughter. Our group really came together for support! We all attended the visitation at the same time with our husbands and also the funeral the following day. It was very hard. It is reality slapping you in the face. Many of the moms kept making sure I was alright, telling me this wouldn't be Cameron's future because meds are so much better and there will be even more in time for Cameron. I wasn't really the most sad for Cameron because I feel there truly will be a control for Cameron, this is why we need to keep fundraising constantly!!! I just felt for the mother so much. I can't even imagine! It was the most touching 'Celebration of Life' I have ever been to. Most funerals are like weddings, so cookie cutter. The same things are always said and it's just so generic. This service was officiated by someone who knew this girl and took the time to learn even more. He read directly from her bible, he had true touching stories about her. The whole thing was very personal and touching. Very sad, but very touching! I can't imagine and hope to never go through such a thing with either of my children!
Cameron goes on Tuesday for his CF Clinic check-up. Hopefully they will say he has gained some weight as he lost quite a bit when he was sick last month. I will post to let you know.

Erin's Birthday - Taylorsville Lake

Trevor just loves his grandma so much. He always wants to be around her.

Finally learned to love being in big water. Couldn't stop him from climbing in on his own by the end of the afternoon.

Trevor fell asleep not a couple minutes after the boat was moving. Couldn't be that comfortable, but he was OUT!

Cameron loved swimming with his Aunt Erin. He wanted her to come jump in with him each and every time. Aunt Erin got a lot of exercise!

Driving the boat with Grandpa.

Cameron became comfortable in the water this year from swim lessons. Now, he LOVES jumping in the water. He must have jumped off the boat 50-100 times that day!

My little cutie in his life jacket.

Erin and I at the end of the day.
