Snow Day!!

We have no school today, SNOW DAY!! These are always fun, however, we have to make them up at the end of the year. I got Cameron all dressed up in his snow gear first thing this morning to make sure we got time in the snow before it was gone. He loves that sled. We just go in the front yard and there is plenty of snow. He screams with joy and laughs as I run down the side of the yard. It's pretty cute.

Dancing with Dad

We have had a great weekend so far. The three of us went to Cedar Grove to do the basketball concession stands to raise money for CF. Cameron did really great! He played and when we were busy, Zach put him in the hiking backpack. He rode around for about a hour and a half, all the way until he fell asleep. We brought the pack 'n play and he slept for a bit until it was time to go home. It was so pretty outside, I thought we could go on a walk....until I looked at the thermometer. It was 20 degrees yesterday and 10 degrees today. Freezing!!
Cameron is still doing good health-wise. He has sounded a little raspy today, hopefully that will go away before it gets worse! We finally put his big-boy car seat in the minivan. So, he now faces forward in the car. He seems to like it fine.
This morning, Zach was playing with Cameron and he would dance when he sang...so, I recorded it. It's pretty cute.
We have some friends coming over this afternoon to watch the Chargers game. We're making ribs....we'll see if Cameron likes them. I'm guessing he's not going to, but you never know. He's been really fussy eating lately, he hasn't been getting a lot down the last few days. We also cannot get him away from the bottle. We've thought about just eliminating it, but we're worried he won't drink enough. Well, time to get some cooking started. Hope everyone has a great holiday weekend!

Weekly News

There hasn't been too much going on this week. Cameron continues to be healthy, which we are so grateful for! He is really walking a lot now. He uses the coffee table and other objects to get himself standing, then walks to where he wants to go. It is so strange to see your baby come around the corner to see you and be walking! He doesn't seem to be as much of a baby anymore. Cam is also climbing stairs a ton now. This morning, he didn't want me to carry him up, he wanted to get down and climb up. There are two stairs to get into this one play room at the babysitters, so they are teaching him to get up and down them. So, now he wants to be more independent with this. This means we need the gates closed at all times at home now!
Cam is also eating a lot more. Some days he doesn't want us to feed him the soft food, so we have been giving him cereal in a bowl with breakfast or breakfast bars. He eats a banana or two a day and an apple. I tried giving him strawberries today, but he spit it out. We went to lunch with our friends Heather and Curtis yesterday. Their little boy Wynton is so cute! He and Cameron ate some cheese bread and Cameron had some pizza.

Here's a short video we took of Cam walking. He wasn't in the greatest mood, but it shows how mobile he is now.

Funny Faces

Cameron is doing these funny faces where he puts his eyebrows up high and grins really big. He was doing it so much tonight, we took a video of it. By then, he was getting disinterested, of course, so this doesn't do it justice, but it's still kind of funny.

Happy New Year!!

Happy New Year! I hope everyone enjoyed bringing in the New Year. We had a little snow here, so we took Cameron outside for his first sled ride. He absolutely LOVED it! It was pretty cold though and he really doesn't have proper clothes for it so we weren't outside too long. Cameron spent his last day with his Aunt and Uncle and has one more day with the Hoeptner grandparents. He loves spending time with all of them. He spend about a half hour this evening walking from one person to the next. He's getting about 10 steps in every time now. I don't think it will be too long!
