Kentucky State Fair

Riding the train
The Little Scrambler

Trevor was really tired.

My baby with grandma. He's getting so big, he's a little boy now.

Trevor loving the seats at Freedom Hall.

First rollarcoaster ride all by himself! We have pictures of him smiling once the ride started going.

Cameron's trying to hold Trevor's hand.

Cameron checking out the baby pigs.

Very serious once the ride started, look at his tongue.

Trevor wanted to get in and touch the little ducklings.
Today we went to the Kentucky State Fair. My mom came along too, which was fun. We started in the Expo center because that was where we parked. We also had the double stroller and those booth areas are so hard to get through with it once it gets busy. I was glad we did that first! We found a few neat things, the fair always has stuff you don't otherwise usually see. We had to get through quickly though as the kids didn't want to just sit in the stroller and kept escaping and running down isles. Then we went to see animals. The kids liked the animals in the cages in the expo center the best because they got to pet them. We watched a little of the horse show competition. Trevor liked sitting in the seats at Freedom Hall. He wasn't heavy enough to hold them down, so it kept flipping up, he laughed, he thought it was fun. Cameron on the other hand did not like that! He wanted it to stay down. After the horse show we went to eat lunch and then headed to the rides. Cameron was such a big boy! All the kid rides that he could do would not allow adults. He was hesitant at first, but then enjoyed handing his tickets to the person and getting on. He went on a rollarcoaster, some cars, boats, motorcycles, a spinning thing, a train, and I can't remember what else. Zach and I went on an adult rollarcoaster. It threw my neck around, I couldn't lift my head up for half the ride. I'm getting OLD!!! My neck still hurts from that ride. Trevor took a little nap during the ride part, he went on the car ride with Cameron and looked like he was about to pass out. Right after, he fell asleep in the stroller. Anyway, all in all, a great day at the fair. The weather was great, the boys were good, and we all enjoyed it. Tonight Zach and I are headed to a neighborhood pool party just for adults. We don't know what to expect, but thought we'd try it.

Trevor really thinks he should get a chance to do CPT as well. If we leave it plugged in, he thinks it's so fun to go get it and crawl on the couch to do therapy like his big brother.
The boys used to need their own chairs. Now they will sit together and watch something (at least when they are both in a good mood). Cameron likes to call Trevor his 'little buddy.'

The boys watching a movie in our bed.

Wow, it's been a while since I've posted anything. Things have been so busy....I know, the story of life! I spent like two weeks preparing for school to start. Last week school started and I've been working like crazy. The beginning of the year is always crazy busy, but the fact that I'm at a new school with new requirements and teaching a new grade means that I have a bunch more to do and I can't use my plans from last year. I feel like I've hardly seen my kids and I'm so exhausted! I know it will get easier with time though. On the bright side, I'm really getting along well with the teachers, my parents, and seem to have a good group of kids this year. I'm still trying to figure out if I will be staying at this school all year, which makes things even more hectic! Hopefully I'll get a better idea about that this week!

The kids have been spending one night a week with Grandma Hoeptner. They go on a different night so that she can enjoy each of them one at a time. We really enjoy having the time with the kids one-on-one too!

This was an awesome weekend, although much too fast! Zach and I were in desperate need of some time together. While I went from seeing the kids all day every day to hardly at all, Zach and I also really needed some time. Zach has also been so busy. He's been working out a lot and doing some serious soul searching and spiritual searching! He's been doing a lot of reading and self-improvement activities. After 45 days, I can still not say what has brought this on, but he seems to be a much happier person than I've seen in years! So, my mom was nice enough to take the kids Saturday and night so that we could go on a date. It was kind of like a teenage date. We went to the movies during the day to see "Step Up 3D." That was Zach's first ever 3D movie, neither of us quite understand why people like 3D so much, the visual quality is just not nearly the same. Then we went to Buffalo Wild Wings for a CF fundraiser that another team was doing. Over the coarse of the night, they had over 500 people. It was really quite an impressive event! They had a silent auction, a special menu in addition to the regular one, specialty purple drinks, the waiters even wore purple wigs and the CF Teams shirt! After that we stopped into Incredible Daves to play Blacklight Bowling (which neither of us were very good at!). We played a few arcade games, it was fun. Then we went to the Comfy Cow, an ice cream place that has gotten pretty popular here that we had never had the chance to go to. Then we came home and enjoyed spending time together and of course, sleeping in this morning (7:30 is now sleeping in for us:) After we got up, we cleaned, and cleaned, and cleaned. It's hard not to take the opportunity while the kids aren't here to mess it up right away. Zach cleaned and organized the garage and the basement. I cleaned the entire downstairs, swept, mopped, did all the laundry, and bathrooms. Then, we watched Date Night On Demand with a HUGE breakfast that I made. The movie was hilarious and it was really nice to have the time together. After we got the kids today we came home, had dinner, and then took them to the pool. Trevor got his first sting, a sweat bee stung him in the pool, we had to strip him to get it out of his shirt, but them we swam more. I can't believe tomorrow is already the start of another work week. How will I do 5 days????
